The Assistant Store Manager reports to Store Manager and ensures the uniform execution of the Division direction within their store.
Essential Functions/
Responsibilities: Sales & Profit
o Meeting or exceeding store sales and profit plans through the training, coaching & managing of the sales staff.
o Ensure shrinkage control and Loss Prevention in store through the continual management of associates.
o Communicate & implementing sales promotion calendar to associates to achieve sales and profit goals.
o Communicate & manage associates on price integrity in the store, including timely completion of permanent price changes.
o Ensure that all price changes are communicated through the approved channels, and report all deviations to the Store Manager/Price Manager
o Ensure & coordinate year-end and mid-year inventory strategies are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
Customer Service & Merchandise Presentation
o Provide training & communication of meeting or exceeding Relentless Customer Care goals to sales staff.
o Communication with Store Manager and BSS merchants regarding merchandise issues and needs.
o Merchandise consistently presented in store with Belk visual and merchandising standards.
o Ensuring & coordinating timely floor setup, including signage, for promotional events and seasonal business activity.
o Adequate staffing in all departments to meet customer service expectations.
o Identifying current trends and providing direction in visual merchandising concepts.
People Development
o Conducting timely reviews and communicating development needs with subordinate. Set goals and identify areas for improvement.
o Recruiting, interviewing, selecting and retaining quality associates and ensure all positions are filled in a timely manner.
o Identifying, recognizing and growing Top Producers.
o Maintaining high store morale through efficient, timely communications of policies and other information. Follow through on all concerns or problems that develop within the store.
o Provide effective coaching in order to improve performance of all associates.
o Communicate with associates on possible career paths and advancement opportunities.
Requirements/
Qualifications: Education &
Experience:
o Four-year college degree.
o Experience in retail management.
o Proficient in computer business-related computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc).
o Excellent supervisory, analytical and reasoning skills.
Physical:
o Ability to use computer keyboard, standard telephone and other related business equipment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
